Prayer and Praise Newsletter

Leadership:

Praise! The Board Meeting went well. We spent an additional hour discussing facility needs and we all agree, we have a lot of facility needs and the Community Center is so needed!

Praise! Hilary is applying to be in a research study for RA and would receive all of her meds free is she’s accepted. Pray that this happens, it would be a huge answer to our prayers!

Praise! The training in Michigan went well. We trained 18 people and another 24 toured the facility on a vision trip. Pray for these new affiliates as they seek to implement what they learned.

I am interviewing this week for the Case Manager position. Pray that the Lord will lead us to the right person. I will also be hiring for an Administrative Assistant and will interview for it after I’ve hired the new Case Manager.

Love INC Campus Vision:

Continue to pray for wisdom for the design of the Campus and specifically the Community Center.

We are praying about opening up a retail Boutique to sell some of the donated product we receive. We have one investor willing to help with the cost and need another one to match his donation before we can secure the store front. May the Lord provide the funds if it time to enter into this next phase of the ministry.

Clearinghouse:

Continue to pray for the Clearinghouse and its volunteers. They’ve been very busy and many clients seem disgruntled and on-edge, a sign of the difficult times.

Pray for the timing of extending our territory into Meridian.

Pray for more sorting volunteers who work in the warehouse. Our donations are stacking up.

New Hope Relational Program:

We want to implement several new changes to the program next week. Pray we can get the materials and forms ready to make the transition.

Pray for more children’s workers and budget counselors.

We are looking at rewriting the job-descriptions for the Case-Managers and creating a new position. May the Lord give us wisdom.

We return to our full-program schedule next week. Pray for all the teachers and workers we need, may God provide.

Churches:

The Church of the week is Fairview Nazarene and Pastor Ross Lougheed. They are going through a time of transition, may the Lord guide and provide for them, leading them in His will.

Pray for the churches that are considering partnering with us.

Pray that the churches advertise for the Melody of Love concert this month.

I am trying to set up a Pastor’s Advisory luncheon in September, pray that many can come.

Gap Ministries & Service Teams:

Praise! Nineteen more backpacks were filled for Case’s Kits. The Child Protection Agency has given away 65 of our packs so far, praise God we can help these children.

Our children’s clothing closet has been really busy this month with back to school needs. Pray for more donations. Praise! We have a new team ready to open on Wednesdays so we can take in more clients, thanks ladies!

Pray for a new location for our furniture and appliance ministry. Our monthly rent fee is going up and we need to find a free location to store this ministry.

Melody of Love Benefit Concert: Monday, September 15th

Continue to pray that the volunteers will be willing to help with the presentation.

Praise! I think I’ve found someone to help prepare the PowerPoint presentation. Keep praying that this works out.

Pray for the media promotion of the event. We are trying to get an article in the newspaper before the event.

Praise! Tickets are in hand and ready to be distributed.

Pray for the musicians as they prepare for the event.

We need to get a letter/tickets out to the volunteers who are helping in the presentation. Pray this gets done this week.
